Mac's from NZ, rockin' the hops.
To be fair this beer was probably at a bit of a disadvantage, tested as it was in the shadows of a fresh hop hog. But the hop flavours still come through after an initial malt burst. Nelson Sauvin apparently though it's not overly passionfruity. It's pleasant and refreshing with quite a fizzy body.
Kind of unsure what to rate this as. As a pilsener it's brilliant (ie it has some taste). But as a hop beer it's only middling probably.
If all pilsener was this then the world would be better. 7.0
