Gage Roads Sleeping Giant IPA

Tried this one after the surprising pale ale offering from Gage.

Pours a dark amber, aerated but not heady at all. Very malty nose, and the body's similarly dominated. A bit too sweet with nut biscuit sort of flavours.. bitterness is there in isolation but it's only a back layer. I prefer IPAs to be a bit more aggressive - the hops should find me rather than me searching for them.

OK beer this but as with so many others, no real reason to buy it unless the shop has sold out of everything else that's even the least bit comparable. 5.0
